Shipping and pick up As our studio is currently situated on a nature reserve in Mpumalanga, all our orders need a lead time of 5days. If you might be living in Piet Retief or passing through, then you are welcome to pick up your item in town at a location confirmed after purchase.
Can I return an item? Yes, please see our Refunds and Return section to see our policies on that. We have a return timeframe of 7 days.
How is your items made? Our items are fully handmade from the label to the embroidery to the construction. As of now, it is made solely by one person ( the person writing this ) and each item is unique. Seeing an item more as wearable art then just a consumer item. Viewing clothing and textile as they were back in the day.
Do you just use secondhand materials? No, we subsidies material where needs be. Some items might be just made of new materials. We love using secondhand materials, but it is subject to us finding it and there is only so much of one item available Which is what makes it so special. Only you can ever have that item.
So do you use synthetic fabrics? We try and stay clear of any synthetic fabrics. We have a passionate love for good quality, natural fabrics. If our item is made from new materials, it will most likely only be from 100% cottons or linens. If an item is secondhand it might have some synthetic qualities, but we state clearly in the description of the product what the item is made of. Sometimes secondhand items are not clear what material they are.
Do you make custom orders? Yes! We take on custom projects. Please get in contact via instagram or via email foundedclothingco@gmail.com with a description of what you’d like and we will see how we can make magic happen!
Refunds and Returns
Return timeline and warranty If you are not satisfied with your item due to some form of damage visible, which was not done during shipping, please get in contact with us ASAP by email – foundedclothingco@gmail.com – within 7 days. We will assess the situation and come to an agreement. We do not accept returns due to change of heart or wrong sizing or after the 7 day window. We make sure to document the item in photos and with full descriptions of size and state of product.
As some products are made using vintage and secondhand materials, there might be some signs of past use as is the nature of heirloom goods. Any products made from old tablecloths, bedding, curtains or other home or consumer textile can be expected to have slight signs of wear. These items are not allegeable for returns or refunds. Any severe marks or stains will be highlighted in the product description.
Any sale products are final and do not apply to the 7 day warranty.
Refund process If you have submitted your query with photos and a description of the problem in the 7day timeline and it was decided that a return and refund is applicable the process is as follows; the item, with all it’s packaging, must be sent back to us at the cost of the buyer. The item must not have been used or worn during that time. Any signs of wear or damage done by the buyer will forfeit the refund.
Item mending and changing If an item is returned due to a construction error on our side, we will gladly help mend the problem and ship the item back. In the case of an adjustment due to sizing or design, the customer must also pay for the item to be sent back after the changes has been made.
When the item is with us and no signs of wear or use is seen and packaging is intact, then we will issue you a full to partial refund depending on the situation. Please allow a few days for the refund to be done.
Returns and refunds on custom orders There are no returns or refunds on custom items due to any change of heart. The deposit paid in the beginning is non-refundable and in the case of an unsatisfying product, only a partial refund is applicable. Shipping is also to be paid by the customer.
Damage during shipping We do not take responsibility for any damage or loss during shipping. Items are bought at own risk and any problem during shipping must be processed with the shipping company. We will help where we can, but we do not hold any responsibility for a refund due to damage or loss of an item during shipping.
Shipping delays Our lead time on items is around 5 days. Any delays with the shipment due to the shipping company is out of our control. We provide you with the shipping code where you can track your order to see when it will be with you. Any shipping delays from our side will be clearly communicated. As the nature of where we are based, unexpected situations might arise and might extend the time of delivery by a few days. In such a situation, we will be in constant communication.
If you need an item by a certain date, please add it in the notes at checkout. An additional cost will be added for express delivery in such an event.
Shipping options We mainly make use of Aramex and Courier Guy (PUDO) for our deliveries. If you’d want us to ship with another company like PAXI or PARGO please get in contact with us VIA Instagram or email and we can send a custom payment link. If your order is too big to fit a normal courier bag, we will cover the rest of the shipping expenses.
When purchasing an item from our site you must agree with our policies before purchase and have an understanding of the information and warranties.
